Salam is a greeting in Malaysia. Taken from the classic Aloha (a greeting in hawaiian) shirt, this oversized piece is traditionally hand painted with a wax resist dyeing technique, named Batik. Using Behati’s signature hibiscus block with hand wax cracking technique that resembles the beach waves. The wordings is silk-screen printed on cotton fabric, with classic Malay line ‘Rasa Sayang’, that translates ‘Feeling loved’.
